Our next Sign Magic Workshop and Sculpting Magic Workshop are now only about a month away. This means I am busy designing and routing the name plaques each guest will receive. I'll be doing step by steps of these projects on the EnRoute blog. http://enrouteadventures.blogspot.com if anyone is interested. I've made more than two hundred of these name plaques since we started doing workshops and find they are a great way to get proficient at the program. If you use some other software most of the steps can be done using it as well. There's still a few seats available if anyone else is able to come. -dan

This will be my second workshop with Dan..having already taken the sign workshop, I'm attending the one on sculpting. It was a wild ride the first time, and it was like it started an engine I didn't know I had, which has been running full tilt since. I expect the same experience for the second one. One thing to note: When I attended the sign workshop, I could barely digest it all. It's funny that many of the things I was unsure about (the 'oh, I don't know if I'll be doing any of that' kinds of thoughts) are now the VERY things I'm excited to add. I can invest in my education, have 2 years of fun in a few days, meet new people that like this stuff, and then write some of it off for taxes. It's not at all an issue of "can I afford it?" in my case. It's "How can I possibly afford not to go if I want to get where I want to go and not spend 5 more years figuring it out?" The assignment I've already set for myself? I have to come back and design and fabricate the sign for my new shop location. I'll be including a little bit of every part of the things Dan intends to cover. If you DO decide to attend his workshop- be prepared to put your dreaming cap on. It's going to be fun!

My goal in hosting these workshops is to inspire others to follow their heartfelt dreams and do the things they love most. We happily show our techniques and ways of doing things. There are no secrets in our shop -no questions that can't be asked. We do our very best to answer every question and to cram in more than forty years of experience into three long days. Those who attend are welcomed into our family and hopefully made to feel at home. The delicious home cooked meals are to be served in the new house. It is truly an immersive experience. This time we have guests from British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Oregon, Colorado, South Carolina, Florida, and Australia. -grampa dan

I agree - One Day - some way - some how. I had the opportunity to hear Dan for ONE day. Yeah Doug, I know what you mean. Lit my fire that I didn't know I had also. I cannot imagine what a 3 day time AT that magical workshop would be like. Yep - ONE day - both Diane and I will be there.
