On a Forum like this I'd love to see real names used - at least first ones. While some may recognize folks from other forums by their handles I'd love to know who I'm reading of. Links to their websites also are a great idea. A picture of themselves is one better. I'd love to recognize them when I bump into them at workshops, meets or whatever.

Lets be friends.

I have been Wolffie for more years than I care to remember and will still be using that name.
I do not have a website and, as I am in Australia, you won't be accidentally bumping into me.
Cheers

I do like the idea of real first names, so I'll agree with Dan!

I like the first name thing too, although other than the  life insurance company, no-one uses mine. It's not even spelled out on my passport........   A.T.Rodger
Hence the "T.R." ...... it's easier to spell than Rodger  & I answer to both. I hope I can keep T.R, here
although it's not a deal breaker.

I used to be Arcticfox46 for a long time but then switched over.  At first I was reluctant - but I got used to it.

I have seen threads that talk about this subject.

As Wolfie and T.R. mentioned - they have "branded" the names that they use.

As for me - I agree that real names is my preferred method, but I understand the other side of the argument.

I whole heartily agree.  I have been to a few vectric conferences and didn't recognize folks because the conference used their real names.

Those who know me well have always called me Thunderbolt Hammer Tongue...in my mind.
Great to be part of this new place. Well done, Jamie (Fashion Hair Devil Hat...again, in my mind.)

Hey Alan,
At the top of the forum under the control panel -> Edit Profile -> User Name.
That should do it!

Hi there
No already tried to do it that way, you can change everything except your username that for some reason is locked off to stop you doing that.
Thanks
Alan

you just can't change T.R. I think everybody in the world knows Rodger as T.R. there's only one of him and thank god for that!! I'm for the real names but many on the posts do know others by their handle.
Although I'm usually called names that can't be put down here.

Hi guys,
I'm Marek, making signs for a decade now, but still have lots to learn.
I've been following Jamie and Dan's blogs for a while now and I am very excited Jamie started this forum.
Can't wait to learn and share.
I only have a Gerber Dimension 200 router so I am limited to mostly 2D work and a smaller size of 36" x 30" max on one piece. I'll try to post up some work soon.
-Marek
