here is my new machine. I am waiting on it to be loaded on the ship, it is at the port. it is a 4x8 with
12"z, has 4hp Italian air cooled spindle, servos, vacuum.
I am in the process of being the rep for them in the states.
once I get this cnc here and run it for awhile, I will pursue that part further with a website.
very excited about gettinYaskawa Servo Motor.jpg g it here, should be here in about 3 weeks.done.jpeg DSP_Controller.jpg

its on the way to indy.
will be there Monday. xrays done on crate, 100% of shipping has been paid. so it should be cleared when it gets there.
hoping to have it in the shop by Wednesday, maybe Tuesday ,  Jamie is coming to help me with it.  he will show me how to wire it in, get it running.  we should be cutting some files with it very soon.  I have a guy building me a website the week after next, video of it running.  i'll put a youtube link here if its okay with jamie.  I have 2 guys saying they want to see it here so they can decide if they want one.

also have continuing deal going with roctech on dealership and territory rights. might end up going to china to film factory and production. but I don't want to go, I hate being on a plane in coach that long.

that's about it on the update.  more next week.
thanks
rob

Congratulations Rob!  That is quite a big step up from a shop bot!  I look forward to seeing what you create with it!

long story short - crate was destroyed by forklift while being taken to my truck and trailer.
machine could not be put on the trailer after that.  not sure if it hurt the machine.
total nightmare.  dealing with the insurance company I paid for to cover the shipment.  glad I bought the insurance, was about 100.00.

they plan to send a guy for a visual inspection, then bring me the machine and see if it is ok.  if not, judge the damage and go from there.
paperwork galore.  I hate this stuff.
forklift kid was a joke. had no regard for anything.

finally got the machine from the pitiful trucking company in indy.  one sweet machine.  Jamie came and helped me get it up and going.  here is a video of it running today.  big thanks to Jamie and jody.

it is a fantastic machine.  quality is exceptional.  fast, powerful, solid, smooth, and I have a dealership with them.  look here for specs.

sad news - happy news:

I sold the roctech in my shop[bawl], sad to see it go.  and its going to Canada so I am packing a sweater for it!
happy news, I order my new roctech tomorrow![smile]
so now Jamie can visit again if he wishes too!

today I cut a pocket with it and I used a .25 up cut end mill.  the pocket was so smooth on the bottom it felt like I had used 220 grit sandpaper on it.  my old blue machine would have needed sanding, but not this sweet baby.

if you need an awesome cnc, ck it out on ebay or email me.  robert2280@att.net
